/Ok so if you read comics you probably know by now that DC has relaunched their entire franchise. Starting in September of 2011 DC released 52 new #1 issues, and canceled all of their current titles at the time. It seamed like a risky move, but DC's attempt to capture new readers and give current fans something new and exciting to keep the franchise "fresh" seems to be paying off. With 52 new #1 issues its a great chance for people who may not have been reading comics, or who have just been wanting to start, to jump right in without needing worry about any past story arc's. It's also proven to be good for fans who were already loyal to many of the DC titles before the relaunch. With brand new titles like "Animal Man" and "Swamp Thing" changing things up, its keeping fans coming back for more week after week. DC also kept the classic titles of course like "Batman", "Superman" and "Green Lantern" etc., but relaunching these book allowed DC to change things up in a way that's never been done before with these characters.
So, now is the best time ever to head down to your local comic shops and enjoy some of these books for the first time, or all over again in a brand new way.
