Six of the "New 52" on the chopping block!

So the relaunch has been up and running at DC for almost six months now, and there is already a need to make some cuts. Out of the 52 new titles released six are being eliminated. Here are the books you can expect to be missing from the shelf in the near future. MR. TERRIFIC, O.M.A.C, MEN OF WAR, STATIC SHOCK, HAWK AND DOVE, and BLACKHAWKS. This comes as no surprise, as these books haven't really been selling well from the get go. DC still has many strong titles in the "New 52", but what are they going to do about the gap that now needs to be filled? Luckily I have the answers.
DC is going to be releasing six new titles to take the place of the ones they will soon be eliminating, and I gotta say, a few of these I am really excited about. The new titles are as follows...
                                                                                                                - BATMAN INCORPORATED
                                                                                                                  -EARTH 2
                                                                                                                  -WORLDS’ FINEST
                                                                                                                  -DIAL H
                                                                                                                  -G.I. COMBAT
                                                                                                                 -THE RAVAGERS

Action Comics So far....

"It Begins Again"........that seems like a good way to start my first review on one of DC's "New 52". Not just any book though, ACTION COMICS!  Dc is in its  5th month of the relaunch, with Action Comics issue 5 just hitting the shelves last week. I told myself when this relaunch started that I would give most of the new 52 a chance, but I would only give them Three issues to pull me in, and make me keep reading them. That seemed fair to me, and its worked out good so far. Action Comics needed every bit of those first three issues to really grab me.I wasn't a fan of the first issue, mainly because Grant Morrison did a couple of things with Superman's character that just felt wrong to me.(You wont find any spoilers on this site) Issue 2 on the other hand was a little more enjoyable, and actually got me excited for issue 3. After that the series just took off, Grant Morrison is making changes , and taking chances with the character, that are exciting, and different. Everyone knows Superman's origin, but in these books you get to experience the first years of his attempt at becoming a superhero, him discovering some of his powers for the first time, and so on. This is definitely the Superman book you should be reading, and its one of the best comics in the "New 52"

       ACTION COMICS #1-5 gets       5/5

DC comics New 52 reviews (coming soon)

Ok so if you read comics you probably know by now that DC has relaunched their entire franchise. Starting in September of 2011 DC released 52 new #1 issues, and canceled all of their current titles at the time. It seamed like a risky move, but DC's attempt to capture new readers and give current fans something new and exciting to keep the franchise "fresh" seems to be paying off. With 52 new #1 issues its a great chance for people who may not have been reading comics, or who have just  been wanting to start, to jump right in without needing worry about any past story arc's. It's also proven to be good for fans who were already loyal to many of the DC titles before the relaunch. With brand new titles like "Animal Man" and "Swamp Thing" changing things up, its keeping fans coming back for more week after week. DC also kept the classic titles of course like "Batman", "Superman" and "Green Lantern" etc., but relaunching these book allowed DC to change things up in a way that's never been done before with these characters.
So, now is the best time ever to head down to your local comic shops and enjoy some of these books for the first time, or all over again in a brand new way.
